OK so now itā??s my turn to figure out what to do.

I need to change my torque converter. V6/ATX. I want to come out from the top as the procedure for dropping the sub frame is too much work for the driveway. It sounds like it would be easier to pull just the motor and leave the tranny in place. That way, I donā??t have to pull the half shafts.

What do you guys think?

Oh, Unisys12,
I replaced the valve body with a rebuilt (CD4E SK JR installed) and my FWD and reverse line pressures are now in spec 50-65PSI. (Used to be 25-30 for drive). Shifting is great and now the TC is locking. However, at higher speeds I have a noticeable (slip) and I get TCC slip code 1744. At 50 MPH I have about a 30 RPM difference in between the engine a turbine shaft, At 70 MPH its about 300 RPM.

Before the VB change I didnā??t get any TC lock-up.

I plan the change the TC

I also found a thin slice of copper in the bottom side of the tranny. I assume itā??s from the TC clutch pack.
