Out of the two I think I would pick the lightning, I don't really like the HD's bling bling.

You do realize that's a concept truck, right?? The '04 Lightning isn't gonna be any different than the '03.

I was hoping someone would say this... the '04 is the exact same truck... the new truck won't be out for a long time.

About the choice... I actually was just thinking the same thing, Lightning or HD- I like the bigger cab of the HD, and the 20" chromies are sweet... but after seeing a Lightning in Sonic Blue... I don't know... depends on what kind of bike I buy, I guess (can't go haulin' a Ducati in a H-D truck now can we?)

Ummmmmm no... 04 Lightning will have 500 HP and 500 lbs/torque. Not just a concept. They aren't going to be taking any crap from Dodge's SRT/10. You should know how Ford works by now. Yes that is bad as hell but they don't do anything for the sports sedans.

i dont think you change the whole nose end of the blower. its pretty much just a pulley swap. go to ford and order a lightning pulley and should just switch right over. kinda like the 03 cobra guys putting lighting pulleys on their mustangs

Why do they call that concept a Boss 429 if they have a 10-liter motor in it ? Is the 429 not descriptive of its CID ?

BTW, when is the Boss 429 Contour coming out

The new Lightning will not be out for at least a year after the new model comes out. The new model will probably hit dealer lots in September.

I would bet the current gen Lightning will be built until just about the time the new one is available.

Well both ways were attempted and when they just changed the pulley on the Harley to the Lightning, they found that the pully was not very stable after being swapped. So they went ahead and changed the nose piece, which is only like four bolts.

HAHAH Sorry man, the '04 SVT Lightning is identical to the '03 only they are bringing back silver! (call SVT if you don't believe me 1-800-ford-SVT)

Also, FYI on the Harley vs. Lightning. They do not have identical engines! The Lightning has forged pistons, completely different fuel mapping (with larger injectors), larger MAF, & TB. just putting a smaller pulley on a HD will not get you the lighting performance with durability. Also the lighting uses a much heavier duty version of the 4R100 ATX trans.
