Chris thanks for the post, we realize that Mark didn't intend to start a "flame war" but as was mentioned he was a bit overbearing.

Even so, I can appreciate his concern that someone may usurp what you guys have tried so hard to do. My hat is off you guys for the excellent work you have done.

It's seems that Spring Zing has become MI's thing which is cool, they've definitely put time and effort into hosting it for the last couple of years. Why does there only have to be one type of event like this during the year? Those of you in Texas who were interested in it could host a fall event...maybe call it Fall Fling? Just an idea, and it gives more opportunity for enthusiasts to get together...especially those who can't travel up to Michigan.

Just an idea.

Just to add to this little discussion. I would love to have it in ANY state, but Texas. *FLAME SUIT ON* J/K... J/K...

No seriously, if it was down there, I'd drive down there and have a good time. Hell, I can even visit my cousins that live in Houston. I think the idea was that Spring Zing IS a national event. It was held in a certain location for two years, and they gave it up, and handed us the reigns. Since we know what is around here the best, we decided to do it here in Michigan this year, and again for next year. As far as two years from now, I don't know where it is going to be. I think... we said it was going to be in Michigan again next year, and some of our planning is already in effect. What would be good to have is a Spring Zing and a Fall Fest. Two different places, but Contour enthusists galore. Just an idea, but I think we should have more national meets. Hell, all I have at home is a PS2 and GT3 to play with. Oops, that isn't a bad thing. We need more meets, that is what I say.

OK. "CEG-Fall Fest" sounds like a winner in my book. You guys up north can have the Spring Zing and we guys here in the South will have Fall Fest.

Now we have to get to work.
