Not so. I have a 325e sedan & parts are not very expensive, considering its a German car. Wiper linkage $12, oil filter $5, etc. If you do repair work yourself, they can be a bargain.
When you get into the heavy duty stuff like my drive shaft - $600 new, $400 for a re-man, but hell by that time the car will be long paid off. 170,000 miles on mine for that repair.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
