I think Dave and his entire band are extremely talented. If people don't like him, that's fine. As long as they recognize his talent.
I hate how his shows are filled with big-tittied bimbos and the accompanying frat boys looking to sack the bimbos, but I'll live with that.
Otherwise, they've got a lot going for them - talent, good live performers, original music, original and very distinctive sound. They can always pull a cover off, too.
That's just my opinion.
One thing I didn't mention in my last post: I respect a lot of different types of music, though much of it isn't to my taste. I cannot respect musicians who have bland, meaningless music. Particularly 1) radio pop/hip-hop/crap 2)rap. 1) Anything that's overproduced is awful in my opinion. Britteny Spears? Great voice, terribly unemotional music. There are so many people making music to make money.
2) Oh, as far as rap goes - if you have to rap about how much money you make, how many babes you bag, how big the wheels on your car are...you're a pathetic looser IMHO. I can't believe so many people enjoy that shite! I don't dislike all rap, but I enjoy occasional hip-hop more than rap. I good rhyme is always pleasing to the ear.
