As a musician, all I can say is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I get off on all sorts of different stuff that a lot, if not most, of you would think is crap. A lot of stuff I listen to doesn't even have lyrics. It depends on who you are and how a song connects to you. Most songs are about love because it is fairly easy to write about and it is universal. Even people who haven't been in love can relate to some degree. That doesn't mean that it is the only stuff out there.
