OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD that's one of the funniest things I've EVERY heard. MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAH! LMAO LMAO LMAO I couldn't have said it better myself.

While I have to agree that there are a lot of influences by "the girl who got away," or "daddy kicked my ass," get some new material!

Maybe the music was simpler, but, where would today's punk rock be if Elvis didn't take the music the Black folks were playing and make it viable for the White ears at the time? Nowhere, that's where. Elvis created a genre that would allow ANYBODY to make whatever music they wanted. He crossed so many boundaries despite the fact that he was a racist bigot!

And... today's drugs being better? They're more PURE, this is true. But, c'mon... do you think that ANYthing passed around today would rival the crap that Jimi Hendrix had soaked into his bandanna?! No way!!

Yeah, Jim Morrison was a drunk... show me ANY big rock star who isn't or at least wasn't!!

Chris Cornell has to be one of the worst singers (and I use that term loosely) I have ever heard. Few things will get me to change the station quicker than hearing that looser in any band, whether it be Audioslave or Soundgarden or Temple of the Dog.
Course thats just my opinion

Chris Cornell's vocal ability is purely amazing! He's one of the best rock & roll voices in any band in at least 15-20 years (except maybe Gary Cherone from Extreme & Van Halen)! I'm talking talent and ability; I can see where somebody might not like his style but there's no arguing his talent!

We must have very different tastes, since I think Cherone sucks big time also
Mabye Cornell has ability, mabye he doesnt, but his voice is like nails on a chalk board to me.
To each their own

This list is closest to what I consider good music. But I think of million better rap singers\groups. Ex. Eminem, 2Pac, Wu-Tang..... etc... etc.

uh...those rappers are def very good. but there are ones that are better then them, most being very underground. i gotta say meth redman and gza still are very good, eminem is ok (i like his older stuff) and 2 pac is just straight up gangsta haha. but get some songs from Afu-ra Shyne (not underground but VERY good) atmosphere, binary star, i can go on and on. oh and of course gangstarr

You damn skippy. I saw Clutch live last year....MAN they put on a great show. The audience was interesting though since Biohazard opened up for them; a bunch of hardcore kids in the crowd. A band that plays good live always impresses me. Bands that I've seen put on an awesome live show include Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Clutch, Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Beastie Boys, Fear Factory, Slayer, Deftones, and Shiner(a local KC group)

I go to a lot of shows.

i agree Clutch has rocked my balls twice now, and the next time they come to Lou i will be there!!

Good to see Clutch getting some love on here. They are, IMO, the best thing in hard rock right now. Ive seen them three times and they tore it up each time.
My all time favorite would have to be Zeppelin. The are the best that there will ever be in rock.

VANILLA ICE! \m/

sorta. it's funny to listen to his album/phases.

In Flames, Meshuggah and Opeth rock, definately. as does Cradle of Filth, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, and other prog. metal bands. Nirvana is my all time favortie band, with Nine Inch Nails in a close second. TooL is rather good, too.

What else are songs about? Seriously tell me. Those are the only friggin song topics unless its by a band of druggies.

I may have said those two bands , I also said the beetles , thats the only band i really feel is a good band for the ages. But I , nor anyone else is in any position to say whats the best band of all tiem. Music depends on moods.

BTW- I imagine youve never had any problems and hell , even if you did youd just grab your balls and keep going , no help needed. I salute you Cpt.Macho

PPS- Youre an ass
