Chris Cornell has to be one of the worst singers (and I use that term loosely) I have ever heard. Few things will get me to change the station quicker than hearing that looser in any band, whether it be Audioslave or Soundgarden or Temple of the Dog.
Course thats just my opinion  
 Chris Cornell's vocal ability is purely amazing! He's one of the best rock & roll voices in any band in at least 15-20 years (except maybe Gary Cherone from Extreme & Van Halen)! I'm talking talent and ability; I can see where somebody might not like his style but there's no arguing his talent!
