Find something better to sing about than the girl who done you wrong or your father or the little girl who won't let you do her or your Saint Anger. I'm sick of it all. Find something original. Just quit whining. People gripe about EMO music being all whiney about this and that. I disagree.

If you have issues, see a psychiatrist. Don't waste my time with BS music trying to find your release. I don't want to hear it.

Uhhh, settle down dude, speaking of people with issues....yeesh.

I have ears, most definitely. I just don't like the Beatles or any of those other uber famous bands because it's way too old. I like modern music, modern being, 90s-today. It's old, played out, let's move on.

i declare shenanigans!! the first rock songs (elvis, chuck berry) were much less difficult to play than today's punk rock.

some of these people saying bands like linkin park and alkaline trio and these newer bands are the best bands EVER are insane. you can't be the best band ever after releasing two albums (linkin park). the bands that are the best bands in my opinion are those who had an influence on someone else. although i like stp a lot, i'm not even sure they could be considered one of the best bands ever.

I have a feeling I might get ripped for this one, but my favorite has got to be Rage Against The Machine...just my opinion. I love their sound and don't think anyone has or ever will sound anything like it. And before anyone suggest Audioslave sounds like them, Zack de la Rocha and Chris Cornell have two completely different sounds, so the bands sound completely different, and IMO, Rage sounds much better than Audioslave.

There's something just not right about comparing punk with 30+ years of evolution to rock in it's infancy...of course a 30 year old can whup up a a 3 year old

Too freaking hard to declare a King overall. Though if forced, I'd presonally claim a tie between Credence Clearwater Revival and Led Zeppelin. I can't go too long without listening to either. Yeah, yeah, the Yardbirds were the precursor to Zeppelin, but Plant, Page, Bonham and Jones really made it come together in a way that just isn't seen, felt or heard in too many decades of rock.

Maybe it was the quality of dope back then. Go figure.

No, the pot is better today.

Anyway, how about a vote for The Who? From "Who's Next" on, including "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia", that was some tight, and influential, music.

The Beatles: when they started using dope, around "Rubber Soul", some of the best music ever. Listen to the first minute of "Here Comes the Sun King" and you will know where Pink Floyd found their influence.

Also, I am a big fan of Tool, and Radiohead. Music for the thinking man? I believe so.

Someone mentioned Clutch. If they come to your town, GO. They will kick your ass!

Linkin Park kinda sucks. Good pop band, but really?
