I almost forgot, the 1st two "The Urge" cds. Both of those cds I can listen to all the way through and love every second of every song. Their new cds suck.

Hey man I have repsect for everything except rap. Well run DMC was great but i think its now only D and C. But for you old people, i love the Gratefull dead, Eric Clapton, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Elton John, Styx, Queen...............

I like most old music, but Akaline Trio kicks all modern music in the balls.

For their time Nirvana rocked. IMO the best band of the early 90s. It's to hard to pick an all time best with so many great bands. Some of my favorites in no particular order:
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones
AC/DC
Doors
Guns&Roses
Metalica(OLD)
Megadeth

Opeth is by far the best band i have heard in the last ten years hands down. if any of you like good hard metal with some of the sweetest acoustic guitar work mixed in i highly recomend these guys. there best song in my opions is To Bid You Farewell, but the track Still Day Beneth the Sun is also good.

Led Zepp? NO WAY. It was the YARDBIRDS, dude. Eric Clapton on lead guitar before he left for Cream. Then they replaced Clapton with Jeff Beck. Then when Beck left, Jimmy Page took over, only to reform as "the New Yardbirds" for only a few weeks before becoming Led Zepp. Aerosmith doing "Train Kept A Rollin'" was an ATTEMPT to do as good on that cut as the Yardbirds.

Reading this thread reminds me of present day hoops fans who think Allen Iverson is god yet NEVER heard of Oscar Robertson!!! Rock was NOT invented in 1996.

By the way, didn't Patty Smyth (sp?)do a GREAT job on covering the Byrds' "So you want to be a Rock & Roll Star"?

I agree with this list the most. But I would have to add Linkin Park (just because so many of their songs seem to mirror my life).

You pansy. You people who like Linkin Park and Nickelback and Korn and Metallica annoy me. All they do is GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE!

Find something better to sing about than the girl who done you wrong or your father or the little girl who won't let you do her or your Saint Anger. I'm sick of it all. Find something original. Just quit whining. People gripe about EMO music being all whiney about this and that. I disagree.

If you have issues, see a psychiatrist. Don't waste my time with BS music trying to find your release. I don't want to hear it. [censored]!
