I should also mention that going to some high school chicks prom party and making out with her helped too.  Her prom date sure was upset!

how pathetic would it be if i went to her house with flowers and was like "i've changed take me baccccckkkkkkkkk"??? damn i have no idea what i want to do...last night i wanted to talk to her just to be her friend...this morning i wanted to go up there and try and get her back...and now i dont even want to see her...WTF

Yeah man, that's normal. I've felt like that all week. I mean, it sounds to me like you do want her back, as much as you're trying to hold those feelings back. Do the flower thing. Seriously. But make sure you hold off on the make-up sex for awhile and talk things through.

too desperate.. It sounds to me like you keep bugging her and that keeps pushing her away, The best way is to let her come to you.. may take a couple days.. BUT IT WORKS!!! she will wonder why your not calling. And when she does just play it cool and normal.. say you've been out having a blast with friends (doesnt have to be a lie.. actually have fun!) You have to make her want back the things that she liked about you and forget about the things that she doesnt like. Cut the conversation short somehow, like that you have to run.. make her wonder what YOUR upto. If she thinks that your just sitting home waiting for her to take you back then she's not going to be in a hurry to do so.
Eventually she will miss the fun things about you, and want to hang out, and then you will have your chance to SHOW that you have changed Dont TELL her that you've changed.. words dont count here. let her see for herself. But you obviously have to give her some time and space for the moment..
Ive been here.. done all of this crap... with a relationship that lasted for nearly 5 years. It was more of a security issue thinking to myself If I cant have her, what will I do? But like you I had a fiery relationship, then durring a break the girl of my dreams came into my life, and I've been kicking myself in the ass for the last 2 years wondering why I wasted the previous 5 because I'm happier now than I have ever been in my life.
But the moral of it all is without the crappy 5 year relationship, I wouldn't recognize and appreciate all the great things and qualities that my fiancee has. You said yourself you had a fiery relationship, thats not good chemestry, think of it as a learning experience so that you can treat the next girl better and with more respect, and when you find the right girl, due to the past experiences, you'll know it.
