All ford dealerships will replace your pcv valve at 60,000 miles, at no charge parts or labor. It's absolutely free. And at 63,000 they should still do it, your only one oil cahnge late. I don't know about it running with it out connected, I don't think it will hurt anything, but i could be wrong. Anyways, just go in there tell them you have a little over 60,000 miles and your ready to have your pcv changed at no charge. Simple as that.

Search of this database will reveal the Dealer will indeed replace the PVC for free BUT only if you pay for 60K service which runs into the hundreds of dollars. I had no trouble replacing mine with a long screwdriver to access the upper reaches where it is located. Remove it from the intake manifold and it will fall into your hands from its connecting line; replace the valve in the line and then insert it into the manifold with the screwdriver.

Incorrect. I did all the other 60,000 miles maintenance myself walked in the dealer told them i needed the 60,000 mile pcv change, it took them like an hour, but i was out the door without paying a cent.

"The dealer will replace your PCV valve at 60,000 miles (except for Canadian and California models) at no charge to ensure the vehicle meets emission standards."

If they refuse, go to another dealership.

Hey man, I'm just tellin the truth. If someone else got screwed then they should report it or they were out of the mileage range. I didn't believe it at first but they must do it. Here is my original thread on it.

99: Exactly my point. You can only verfiy your very own personal experience. You have absolutely no proof of what someone else went through and therefore, cannot speak on their behalf.
