I need some help. Here's the rundown. I have a E0 CSVT with 82,xxx miles. Mods are as follows, KKM, TH fix, just recently installed FMS 9mm wires, Autolite DP plugs, resonator removed, Quaife, Ram clutch, ES mounts, etc... You get the idea. Here's my prob.

When I installed the plugs and wires, I got this horrible bucking feeling when the car is driving or idling. I couldn't figure out WTF, so I proceeded to switch back to the stock wires, as I've heard bad things about the FMS (AFTER I bought them...) Same thing. Seemed like the FMS wires weren't fully seating against the plug, so I cut about a half inch off of the wire end. Just the rubber sleeve, not where it connects with the plug.

Same thing. THEN I went back to the stock wires, but after realizing that #5 and #6 were backwards on the coil pack. (Don't ask) So things seem to work out much better. I decide to try the FMS wires one more time, only this time being used in the correct firing order. Car runs much better, but still seems bog down and "miss" occasionally.

What are my choices??? Do I go back the stock wires because the FMS ones are crap? Did I fouls a plug or two with my little coil pack fiasco??? My CEL is on, but has been intermittent for a while, do to an o2 sensor. Only seems to appear on humid days, etc... Do I finally drive off of tall cliff and buy the used 4 door M3 that a local dentist is selling??? WTF?

Thanks.

Cutting the boot back on the FMS wires was a bad idea.

The full boot length, the silicone dielectric, and clean plug insulators are required to keep the spark from jumping around outside the engine.

Similar situation, mine is doing the same thing. I replaced all the wires and plugs back to stock, one at a time, then changed them back to new plugs, to see if a new wire or plug is bad but they are all fine. Can't figure it out??
