In here I have a PII 450 256 mb RAM Aint worth a penny. I keep telling myself I'll upgrade it, but the car comes first!

In the other room I have a Pentium pro 200mhz overclocked at 233 that I let my room mate use.

I swear guys, I'll upgrade them one day. but they work so good theres no reason!

Tim, are you still coming over tonite? All your computer talk gets me hot and bothered...

In case it hasn't been said, it's nice to see Infuryum posting on a regular basis again.

I've been streching out a system I bought back in 1999.

That AOpen AX6BC mobo sure can last.

I had a Slot 1 Celeron 300a I OC'ed to 450. then I got a slok-ket card and dropped a Celeron 800 I OC'ed to 1100+ mhz...

Works superfine....

Bring my computer count to five. Thanks to a yard sale this morning and a deal too good to pass up.

- Pentium II 400 MHz
- 128 MB RAM
- 8 GB HDD
- 17" Sony Trinitron flatscreen
- Win98

So you ask, why bother with this system? It will replace my eMachines (as I had stated earlier, the eMachines can now become a dedicated something-or-other, currently a TV with its tuner until I find more uses for it). This model was hand built, and very expandable. Three RAM slots. Four PCI slots, two ISA (I think?) and one video driver slot. Three 5-1/4" bays, two 3-1/4" and one hard drive bay.
For $150, we got this, an old HP printer, a scanner, a computer cart (worth $100) and a new chair worth at least $60. The setup was practically unused and looks it.

The entire package will be split through the family, so I am paying my parents $75 for the CPU and gorgeous monitor.

Since some people are listing other systems I thought I'd chime in with another. I'm now sitting at my Router:

Sun Sparcstaion 5
HyperSparc 64bit 110Mhz
256MB RAM
Sun GX Framebuffer
Sun quartet 4port 10/100 NIC
Seagate Cheetah 18 ST118202LC SCA
Sun/Sony GMD-20 20" Monitor

Just thought I'd geek it up with the classic Sun hardware. Oh yeah, it runs Redhat 6 like a beast for being so "slow." I also have about 10 work in progess boxes that I am always tinkering with and I do so love to dumpster jump for more.

Thermalright SLK-900U and a 92mm tornado on that and a 80mm tornado on the side and a few other fans in there too

OOH and I'm clocked a littler higher than that now 2248mhz... about to reboot to bump it up a little more best $50 I ever spent on a processor I think this processor might become my favorite one since my celeron 300a which is still running today at 495mhz in my sister computer.

EDIT:now at 2261mhz... time to let folding@home run to make sure she is still stable.

Cant go wrong with an XP processor. Got a 1700 myself, and never had any problems.
