If you use the correct cooling you wont have any problems.

running a 97 dell optiplex gxi (dell the phonky pc) desktop ...166 megahertz...32mb upgraded to 64mb ram and 2.1 gb harddrive sportin win98...as u can tell its completely outdated and then some
useless for everything but surfing the web

the post right before that was how you doubled the speed on your current processor, and you complain about how they burn up? everyone knows the xps run hot, but if you use them how they were meant to be used, theyre a great chip at a great price.
now officially a troll, i guess. used to have a black 96 SE, until it broke down one too many times.
now I'm hunting for a motorycle.

im still stuck at 2.167 ghz (3000+) but the 3200 is 2.2ghz, 33mhz diff? wtf? and its like 200$ more.. lame.. im hoping to oc this 3000+ but i bought a vapochill first, then i get to mess around... this 2000+ i got in the corner i could only oc' to a 2100+ speed  1725 mhz, no idea it wouldnt go over 138mhz fsb
