yeah, I had the same problem, the tool would only reach one of the adjustment knobs, i ended up just using a metal dowel rod, drilled a slot into the end to fit over the adjustment tab and turned that with a pair of pliers. thats the only thing I could come up with but it worked fine, hope this helps

I believe this problem is well documented. You can:
1) buy the Koni knob that is longer
2) cut the handle of the knob down, so the part that attaches to the strut sticks out farther. Does that make sense? I just woke up.

you can buy the knob that's longer???

Why the hell didn't anyone say so?

I just hacked mine up, looks like ass, but works. Cut the trimming all the way around so it's just a little of the top and the little adjuster thing in the middle. . .

Glad to help. My Konis are going on soon, and I can't wait.

Be careful. if you tighten the adjuster until it stops, you may damage the shock. One full turn is full stiff. Any more than that may damage it. Just letting you know.

What about 1/4 turns? The instructions (horrible instructions, BTW) say 180 = + and 360 = ++ . What about 90? Safe?

I've mentioned it repeatedly in a number of posts in the last 2 years. Koni lists a second adjusting knob that should fit, for $5.00. It's listed on the instruction sheet that came with my Konis. Since I didn't want to wait for one to arrive, and I had 2 knobs, I took a hacksaw to the flange on one.

contours, deloreans & fiats, oh my!
