I'd go ahead and get one...the Napa part number listed above is the metal impeller. Better to spend $60 now and fix it at your convenience than to be broken down, towed, find a ride to the parts store, get it then, and mess up any plans you may have.

I'm obsessive about checking my temp gauge, and I didn't even see it happen. I looked down, everything was fine, looked down a block later and I'm pegged in the RED.

It may not go, but I'd rather do preventative maintenance on a common problem than get stuck in a yet to be determined location and have to worry about it then. And it's not too hard to do yourself, just check out the "How-To" and have at it.
