So you just build a throw-away computer and use that for your sharing.

Maybe run an O/S that doesn't have paper thin security like Windows

I suspect most of the software they are looking to build to delete files will be Windows based.

Those measures will be fairly ineffective with an O/S that is running a secure file system.

I don't even have Kazaa, but I do think there are linux and perhaps even Solaris ports of the software.

If so, run it as a non-root, non-privledged user and all they can destroy are the files of that one user. No big deal.
