I don't have an answer for you, but some advice...
Take it to the dealer and keep careful documenation of this issue. If they cannot fix it by the time your warranty is up, it should still be covered. It might take a call to Ford, but usually any problem you bring in before the warranty expires that they cannot solve and is ongoing will still be covered.
