I've been gay as long as I can remember. Why on earth would I make a "choice" like that? It sure as hell doesn't benefit me in any way. I don't want special attention by attending a gay pride parade, I want EQUAL treatment under the law. And as far as the argument that I should "turn" straight, I would like to challenge a straight to "turn" gay and see how it works. Not so well. I'm in a stable, loving relationship, I pay my taxes, I like to shoot my guns and I like to work on my car. I don't randomly hit on men, just as I don't like it when women randomly hit on me. I go to work every day in a molecular biology laboratory trying to find a cure for cancer for every single one of us. Don't tell me I'm a bad person, don't tell me I made a choice and don't tell me to shut up. You do your thing, and I'll do mine. Government should stay out of the bedroom and away from my body.

I applaud the 6-justice majority in the Supreme Court who followed through with their oath, defended the constitution and remembered that we are all equal under the law.

"The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good, in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it." -- John Stuart Mill

Matthew Martin

P.S. It's hotter than hell here in Ohio - any suggestions for which weight oil is best in my Duratec with 105k miles this summer?
