You're applying the Christian mentality of "Gays aren't born that way" to the Democratic legal system, in which they are considered to be born that way.
There's a reason why we have the seperation of Church and State -- so people are not discriminated against by the legal system because their views/lifestyle conflicts with the religious morality of some.
