If they want to marry let them. How is it really going to change YOUR life?
I swear C.E.G should be changed to Conservative Encouragement Group. All this time and energy wasted on worrying about what OTHERS do is rediculous.
In regards to the comment about having sex with dogs. Who gave you the power to call another Human Being a dog? Here we go again waving the moral stick around. Next time make sure it hits YOU on the freakin forehead. /FLAME SUIT OFF
I'll take it on. Nothing personal you know.
Here is how I feel about it. As long as there are large sums of money being taken from me by state and federal government and given to other people, I have a right to petition my government in order to persuade them to encourage or discourage certain behaviors.
I know it sounds cold hearted, hey I've never been known for compassion.
Much of my tax money goes to support others who choose poorly. Now I understand that children don't get to make choices, so I'm not against kids. But I am against social policy that I believe shirks responsibility.
Now before you get all up in arms, I'm NOT saying that gays are irresponsible.
However, if you smoke and get cancer, drink and can't keep your job, take IV drugs and burnout, eat fast food until you are 500#, engage in unprotected sex, I really don't think you have a right to expect society to bail you out.
If you are responsible and an accident happens (and I don't mean a broken rubber either) then society has the responsiblity to get you back on your feet.
If you live with a "devil may care" attitude, well to me I'm not so sure I want you supported with tax money.
So that is where the "don't tread on me" argument comes back to me. As long as people in society believe they have the right to tax me to further their social agenda, I too have the right to fight for my own social agenda. Otherwise, these folks are treading on my right to pick and choose what choices and behaviors to encourage or discourage.
Stop taking away nearly half of every additional dollar I make and I won't give a rat's patootie what you do with your life and your money.
