With 96k miles, I would save up for your next car. If you start modding now, you won't want to sell it when you should. If I had been patient, I would have $2-3k to put in my future 05 Mustang. How much does 30 additional HP feel like? My experience tells me that it feels no difference after a month. Save your money or replace broken parts with something better/less expensive than OEM, when it breaks. For the same price, would you rather have a Vortech Mustang or a Vortech Contour? I will wait, so my Mustang will have FI from the start, instead of have a Vortech Contour on a 100k+ mile car.
