I think in the process of reading tha article I said wholy sh__ 25 times. Anyways, does anyone know what kind of costs they were looking at? I'm looking to drop $3000 for a good performance boost.

I just picked up the August issue. It seems like the second installment of the Focus project. REALLY interesting article. The Pectel T2 ECU sounds like the sh!t.
230 FHWP with 7 psi? Nice.

looks like a real nice job on the exaust manifold. I remeber months ago one of the import mags, had a project focus that they put a turbo/intercooler on it. and then when i read closer the shop that did the install is 2 blocks from my house  I was thinking about taking my tour over there and seeing if they could do a custom job

For 3k you can put a very good down payment on an SVT. That would be a performance boost.

what about the turbo kit terry haines offers, doesn't that offer pretty much everything they do??
I'm not a zetec guy, just poking around here and thought I'd mention the TH zetex tc. . .I'm sure y'all know of it already. . .

Yeah, but I'd rather get the turbo, or do engine work than buy another car that will have more problems down the road. Besides, if you buy an SVT you'll probably want to do more performance mods than if you just put the 3K towards turboing the Zetec.

any suggestions for putting one in? (shops, sites, references,etc.) I have access to a cnc machine, and a very good professional welder. I'm a third year automotive engineering major if it helps any.
