You're basically paying an extra $8K for AWD. Tough call. I think the LSD on the 04's will be suffice for my needs..

The LSD bumps the price up to an MSRP of $20,450 + $545 destination. There are also options like sunroof and side air bags available for 2004.
With the stages, options, etc., your getting close to 30k I would imagine.
Still cool though.

And the other 3 have much better interiros , and all look better (The lancer is borderline on that though)
Has anyone seen the Focus Cosworth? Looks awsome (its in all this months car mags)
Dont get me wrong , the SRT-4 is good , but if you put a turbo on a Focus SVT it would be a close call.

Sure sounds quick enough, but not really my cup of tea. over 20k for a sub-par compact car, no thanks.
I think it will be really interesting in a few years (or less) when everyone is having drivetrain problems with their cars. It might have the 7/70 powertrain but I am sure that excludes racing, which they will claim people have been doing...

i'm sure dodge knows every1 that buys them will be racing them and they're ready to work on them. they can't just claim people were racing either and I don't think they'll be able to prove much.

Now IF Ford put the turbo in and offered a warranty and real performance exra's like MOPAR, (ie Ford Motorsports ) That would be real nice. But now we are still talkin Neon vs Focus, battle of the econo-racers.....

Are you kidding me? The Recaros are the only saving grace in the Evo, the rest of the interior is embarassing! The interior on the STi rocks, but the exterior is ridiculous looking. And I can't find the Cosworth at my local Ford dealership.. Hmm..
A turbo Focus? Give me a break. Show me a 300HP Focus with a warranty - Oh wait, it won't happen. Dodge did their homework, and the whole world is hating on them.
Need proof? Look below.
SRT-4 takes 8th place overall in the One Lap of America series:
1. 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z-07 2. 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3. 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 4. 2001 RUF RGT 5. 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo 6. 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo 7. 1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 8. 2003 Dodge SRT-4 9. 1996 Lamborghini Diablo 10. 2000 Audi S4
The only mods to the SRT-4 were a Mopar Stage 1 Kit, and a Quaife LSD. Nice company to be grouped with.

The MSRP went up $500. Sunroof is a $500 option. Side airbags (if you want them) are like $300. So it looks like $25K MSRP on an SRT-4 Stage 3. Real world prices after the initial rush would be around $24K. The price of a regular WRX.
Real close to $30K.

Yeah OC your getting everything I know. Every damn car out there your an expert on and are getting one even though you seem to have no job.
Its not the 8K price difference you were saying it was either.
Quaife LSD is not a factory part so I am assuming it could be used to void your warranty unless it was offered as one of the Mopar upgrades.
Based on some of the mods people are doing on some of the other boards to the SRT-4, I think many of them will be warranty-less anyhow.
Its a cool car but for 25K + I am not so sure...but then again you don't need all the stages and can do it over time.
