maybe. either way they won't come out without some sort of abrasive or chemical stripper. The products I suggested are mild to use every time you wash your car.
For the the windshield, those same products also work. There are now glass polishers available if you feel like adding another bottle to the collection. I've switched to plain windex and newspaper though. The newspaper is abrasive enough to scrub off the deposits, but won't harm the glass. I wouldn't try it on paint though.
