On the Zetec engines I just posted some pics of where to look on this forum.
On the Duratec, it starts at the fuel injection wiring under and near the intake manifold. If you don't want to remove the upper intake manifold to inspect the wires there, try unwrapping some of the split loom tubing/tape near the two 12-prong connectors...evidence of cracking insulation will probably be found there. Unwrap it all the way back to where the wires go under the intake manifold if you have to.

This is definitely a fix you want to get before the recall warranty is up since it's so expensive otherwise.
