Mechanic says the rear motor mount (rear of car) is shot and the front mount (front of car) is going. Looks like the front is not hard to replace but I cannot see how the rear is done. I can probably get it unbolted but there appears to be no space to drop it and insert the new one. Any ideas? The mechanic laughed when I said I could probably do the job myself. I'm not sure the rear is bad but can't get a good view of it. to verify.

From the Haynes manual, it looks like there is a rear engine/transaxle mount (Above the trnxl) and a right hand mount on the rear of the engine. The right hand mount is above the subframe on the ATX and below the subframe on the MTX. The MTX looks much easier to reach. The R & R procedure does not sound too difficult, just want to make sure the engine is supported with wooden blocks before loosening the mount. Pull the battery, airbox etc. to gain access to the rear engine/transaxle mount. Hope this helps.
