Im curious about my clutch. i dont drive too hard all the time, but i want to hit up the track in a week or two and was wondering about the clutch. is the stock one decent enough to rely on, being my car is a daily driver. Or is it advisable to buy a new one. (if so what kind). Ive done a clutch before on a camaro but im unsure about tackling this job? Thaughts?

Well it depends on what mods you have done to your car. Is it pretty much stock? How many miles are on the car? The stock clutch is not a bad clutch as for stock driving. You should be fine if you don't have a million miles on the car either. What model do you have anyway?

I've done 5+ days on the track with the stock clutch. No problems at all (knock on wood) so far. Track time should not be particularly hard on the clutch... Have fun You'll be hooked before you know it.

If the stock clutch will take my abuse it's a good unit. A few road courses, countless autoXing and a little street racing. It out lasted my engine at 130k.

Agreed - mine took 70+ drag runs on the 3L, after 86k miles on the old 2.5 before it finally went at 120k.
