Had a code P0133, no other codes. How do I replace the Bank1 o2 sensor? What do I need to remove? I have a 99 SVT. Those lbue sensors at the bottom are easy enough to move, but the one above is damn near impossible to get to from below AND above. Any help would be apreciated.

Here's one old post to get you thinking, others are available with search > o2 sensor > problems > subject. A search on the code itself may also get some hits. http://www.contour.org/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=004633&p=

That would help a lot, except I DON'T know what the coil pack is on a V6. I have the distribution cap and that isnt exactly in the way, it's more of a LONG black cable and the fuel line preventing me from getting any arm into position. Thoughts?

Just curious Matt, did you get MIL eliminators? I ask this because I got them and they do seem to work. Right after I had the "mystery mod" done I got a code of 0136, the O2 sensor had a dent in it. Then about 3 monthes/3,000 miles later I got this code, 0144, another O2 sensor. This one was done at the dealership and was shown to be "weak". Now the most current one came on 2 weeks ago, 0156, which came on 1,700 miles after I had the one replaced at the dealership, all different codes. Now the thing with the most current one is this, I erased it because that damn light is annoying and I then set up an appointment to take the car in to the dealership because I assumed that the CEL would come back on after about 125+ miles, but it didn't. I cancelled my appointment and the service advisor told me that when it comes back on to bring it in, but I'm up to 325 miles now and no CEL, weird because all I did was erase the code, I wish it was that easy. Also I went out and bought an OBD II scan tool which was $211.00, but I know it will come in handy with this car or other local CEG-ers. Good luck with your car and let us know how it went

Coil pack is where plug wires originate, what you are calling distributor cap. Distributor function on our cars handled by PCM (Powertrain Control Module) located behind glovebox. Procedure outlined is to get access and visibility to get an O2 sensor socket on sensor, not your arm. Haven't done myself yet, so I'm only relaying info and providing interpretation, however I have replaced EGR tube beside sensor so I'm familiar with area. While sensor clearly visible from below car, problem is getting room to swing an open end wrench; however, here's a thread that uses a stubby: http://www.contour.org/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=003805&p=

Thanks for all the help. Here's waht I did.
1. Removed Coil Pack 2. Used liquid wrench on old sensor 3. Used o2 sensor socket to remove. 4. Replaced o2 sensor, tightened with socket. 5. Replaced coil pack.
Just in case anyone finds that useful, the o2 sensor socket is WORLDS better than a silly wrench!
Thanks to everyone who ahd the patience to help this newbie.
