I'm sorry, I should have been a little more precise. The pistons are actually a subsidiary of FM, AE Goetze, where my dad used to work. AEG was bought out by T&N in 1997 or 98, and FM bought T&N immediately after that.
My dad still works for F-M as manager of dyno testing in Plymouth. He did some of the initial work in Muskegon, MI w/ AEG on the Duratec pistons and may have had a LITTLE developmental influence.

It will last ALOT longer if you keep it away from ford stealerships!! They have been the down fall for a good many contour engines (including mine) and trannies. Just swapped my blown engine with one that only has 15k on the clock so she will be around for a long time (knocks on wood)
