my airbag light has been flashing for about a year now, i see someone mentioned a dirty connector....which one and where at?

What's the blink pattern? The light will blink to indicate the fault code. For example, 4 blinks, short pause, 3 bilnks, long pause indicates Code 43 for the airbag module. Given that info, I can peruse my Service Manual and see what it says.

It was me. Mine was flashing 4-5. Im not sure where the connector is, my dealership cleaned the connector for free. I only paid for the diagnostic. My Hanes manual says on the front, under the headlights, on each side, but I dont know for sure excatly where. Im pretty sure mine was the left one. The bill I got said the plug had to measure under 2 ohms for it to be ok. Hope that helps.

my lite flashes 5 times, pauses, and flashes once more......any help appreciated. the dealer said it would be $89.95 just to open the hood.

When I was a Service Writer For Ford alot of Contours and Foci came in with this concern.. If you attempt to do repair yourself make sure the Battery is disconnected so Air Bag Will Not Deploy..
