Steve came over today and helped with the diconnecting of everything. Actually I helped Steve. He's awesome! Every time I turn around something that needed to be done he did before I could get to it. We started around 1pm and stopped about 8pm. We stopped for a Gatorade run in there too. It's still in the car but I need to get an engine hoist to just pull it out. The fun has begun. Thanks a bunch Steve. With only one person it would have taken A LOT longer.

Thanks, Todd!
It was actually kind of fun - I was able to spend most of my time working on stuff, not doing boring crap like grinding off exhaust bolts.
I finally see now how these people who've done it over and over can pull the engine in a few hours.

You're in good shape to pull it in a hurry when you get the hoist.

Now you're ready to learn the joys of engine assembly.

Steve is "giving" me a new throw out bearing and a slightly used SVT clutch from when he upgraded to an Unorthadox. I really like the stock clutch and believe it's a good unit. I'm having a Quaife and lightened SVT flywheel installed as well.

Had to do a lot of grinding since the exhaust bolts wouldn't budge even though they had been replaced once. We just undid the boot on drivers axle and it fell right off. Steve poped the passenger side w/o much difficulty. Time for the credit card to warm up.

Did you totally disconnect the A/C? I just unbolted the compressor and tied it to the subframe.
We can get the splined end of the CV joint from the tranny much more easily out of the car.

When are you getting the hoist, Todd?
