OP TommyBoy Member T Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 102 Pa.	Well Yesterday sucked !!! I was at bevear springs raceway, and I made two Runs the first Run I ran 14.69 @ 96.7 Mph. The second Run I had a buddy of mine in the car and he told me to do a 3 Grand launch, well needless to say I did it :rolleyes: . Well when I did, I got some aful wheel hop and then befor I could let off it something went. What went I dont know yet, but I have some guesses, I think its either the clutch or the differential. The weird thing is it didnt make any noises or attempt to move Just NO GO!! Can some of the contour gods give me some input, Please I hope its not the clutch cause its not covered,I dont think 1998 contour SVT Ractive Filter Resignator Removed 1998.5 CSVT K&N Custom Intake Custom 2 3/4" Magnaflow cat back Ram HD Power Grip Clutch Bosch Platnium + Alpine deck "CDA-7863" Boston mids More to come Stock Sucks!!!!

Sorry we are all so skeptical, but the best an SVT on stock rubber has been able to do is a 14.765. With drag radials the best is a 14.538. Highest MPH is a 94.88. I would like to see a scan of the slip. Sounds like your diff went. I would do the quaife if at all possible. You'll love it, not just for drag racing, but in the twisties as well. Its also good peice of mind to know that you never have to worry about your diff again. Speed kills, but it beats going slow! I thought this place was for people to share thoughts, Ideas and insight My mistake on the time slip, its actually: R/T....560 60'...2.236 330...6.210 1/8...9.511 mph...74.74 1/4...14.691 Mph...95.75 And thats a fact By the way it was only test and tune day at beaver so thats why my buddy was in the car I still need some input on my little Problem and the price differnce between OEM and Quife 1998 Contour SVT Ractive custom Intake Resignator Removed Bosch Platnium 4+ 1998.5 CSVT K&N Custom Intake Custom 2 3/4" Magnaflow cat back Ram HD Power Grip Clutch Bosch Platnium + Alpine deck "CDA-7863" Boston mids More to come Stock Sucks!!!!
