Well Yesterday sucked frown !!! mad I was at bevear springs raceway, and I made two Runs the first Run I ran 14.69 @ 96.7 Mph. The second Run I had a buddy of mine in the car and he told me to do a 3 Grand launch, well needless to say I did it  . Well when I did, I got some aful wheel hop and then befor I could let off it something went. What went I dont know yet, but I have some guesses, I think its either the clutch or the differential. confused The weird thing is it didnt make any noises or attempt to move Just NO GO!! confused

Can some of the contour gods give me some input, Please

I hope its not the clutch cause its not covered,I dont think frown

Look at it this way, now you can get a quaife, which will let you do 3 grand launches without grenading it smile .

Will the warranty company pay for a quife? confused

By the way I have my time slip and driver Identifaction card and number that matches the time slip, So if any body doesnt believe me, I will scan it tommorow wink

Why would you have your friend in the car with you? I don't think raceways allowed passengers anyway. Some friend he is giving you advice like that.If you were able to run a 14.69 with the car stock you must be one hell of a driver, certainly not needing your friends advice.

I'd like to see that time slip. Were you running Drag Radials? What kind of mods do you have? Sorry we are all so skeptical, but the best an SVT on stock rubber has been able to do is a 14.765. With drag radials the best is a 14.538. Highest MPH is a 94.88. I would like to see a scan of the slip.

Sounds like your diff went. I would do the quaife if at all possible. You'll love it, not just for drag racing, but in the twisties as well. Its also good peice of mind to know that you never have to worry about your diff again.

Well First of all I did not join Contour.Org To be critisized, and honestly I have better things to do than tell bull$hit Stories. I thought this place was for people to share thoughts, Ideas and insight confused
My mistake on the time slip, its actually:

R/T....560
60'...2.236
330...6.210
1/8...9.511
mph...74.74
1/4...14.691
Mph...95.75 And thats a fact

By the way it was only test and tune day at beaver so thats why my buddy was in the car smile

I still need some input on my little Problem and the price differnce between OEM and Quife
