If she leans on you for comapny because her family is out of town, well, that was gonna happen sometime or another anyway. It's a learning moment for her to deal with it on her own. You can't be responsible to fix her loneliness problems for her if she no longer wants to be an item with you. Yes, the child will keep you connected, but does she want a clean break of not? If she says she does not really know, give yourself a break, keep some distance, otherwise you'll be stuck on a rollercoaster with her whims or emotions contolling the throttle of that ride while you get psychically whiplashed, even when she's not doing it deliberately.
