I'm totally committed to my son. I wish in a way that my girl had found another guy as I could then point to something concrete for our breakup. This is no the case. I'm really close with her family and have been flat out told my her sisters, father, even her that there's no other guy. I told her that I'm going to start to date other girls and didn't want it to bother her. I then asked her if she was going to start dating other guys, she replied "not right now". She is finishing her masters in elementry education and very busy right now. I still love her but realize I need to start thinking of my own feelings as they have been last in line for so long. I feel bad for her in a way as she is a great person, beautiful, and has a great body but now she's left with a very busy schedule, and a 3 year old son. Since I love her I hope she is able to find someone that makes her happy (the person I used to be) and I hope having a child does not stop her from finding love.
I'm just glad that we will remain friends and our son will have the best situation possible given the predicament.

But she is her own person, and you have to respect her wishes. She made her choice and she can take care of herself. The only thing you can do is be a great father to your son.

Well, oddly enough, I got a call from her today at work. She wants to come over to my house and watch a movie tonight  I'm apprehensive about her motives, did she realize we have something worth saving? Does she want to make sure I don't go hook up with some barfly? I'm not sure what to do. My buddies are saying "look what she's done to you, don't trust her", my heart says I still love her and want to work things out if at all possible. Maybe it just took us breaking up for her to consider my feelings and realize what we had....

Personally, after she said she didn't love you I would stay away! You need time to heal an she needs time to figure out exactly what she wants. She seems confused and that will only end up hurting you. I think you should not spend any time with her unless your son is the focus. I.E. no alone time. Speration can help the mind clear itself!

As much as I want to go to the strip club I also feel that I would do anything to get back with her (am I being foolish?). I keep thinking what if she has taken me for granted all this time, and now realized I'm gone. I know for a fact that I'm not going to chase after her, but if she comes to me should I shut the door or let her in?
