I'm hoping I just need to add some more friction modifier to my tranny coctail (Mobil1 ATF and Ford FM), but here goes:

When I'm running up the gears and go for my 2-3 shift, I get a grinding going INTO 3rd. It only grinds for a half-second as I push the gear shifter into 3rd, and only under quick shifts/high-RPM shifts. I can run the RPM's up to say 6k, then shift to 3rd, and as long as I pause before shifting into 3rd, it doesn't grind. So it would seem that maybe my timing is off when I'm shifting quick, but all other gears don't grind and I haven't had a problem yet with anything other than 3rd.... Do I just need to learn to shift again? Or could this be just a shortage of Friction Modifier? Or could this be something serious that I have to get looked at ($$$$ ahh!)?

TIA
