Hi, My air conditioning in my 98 mercury mystique doesn't feel cold enough. It is blowning cold air out, but is there some way I can make it colder? Thanks.

Yeah, get it recharged with Freon. It's not too expensive (30 dollars or so I think) and places like Jiffy Lube or Express Lube can do it for you relatively fast.

Or go to the auto parts store and pick up a tap and a can of R134a (not Freon as R-12 is history, doubt you'd find it anyway). Probably around $10-$12. Connect to the low pressure side and off you go.
Of course there's a danger of overcharging, but if it doesn't feel cold, you're probably low enough to stick in a whole can.

There are recharging kits that come with THERMOMETERS that strap onto the AC pipes. This allows you to see the temperature of the refrigerant before and after it passes through the evaporator. This will be your best indication of being undercharged, other than bying a set of AC Gauges which are $$$$.

Toadster,
That is fine for the low pressure side, but you can't see the high pressure, and too high pressure, can cause a failure, and it can't be seen from the low pressure side.
