I've got one better for ya, and it takes a little practice to perfect it...
When you out the car in drive, and then start to rev the engine,
you will feel a bump when the mounts have gotten to the end of their travel.
If you need to do this several times to make sure of the "bump" feeling, go ahead.
Since all you need to really do is to load the Engine and Tranny Mounts, then try this out.
When you hit the gas, release the brake once you feel the bump.
Don't wait for the engine to rev up till it won't rev any higher.
All you are doing is wasting gas and heating up your Torque Converter.
You've got to get this beast moving !
With a little practice, you'll know exactly when the mount will "bump"
and you'll be letting go of the brake at that exact moment.
You think you got a rush when the Contour took off from a loaded start ?
If you get it right, not only will you get a quicker launch, but you *might* get a little tire squealing as well...
