Donkers said she doesn't think her actions were excessively dangerous, and she believes she can follow the laws of her home state when driving on an interstate highway.
Yeah, and that's why we have to take down our radar detectors when going through Virginia. I laugh just thinking about that statement. What is she smoking???
Just because something is legal doesn't make it safe. This lady is wacko. And should go to jail in Ohio to prove a point.
I hope it doesn't turn in to some messy interstate commerce b.s. though, that's a disaster waiting to happen for anyone who believes in states rights. Though it did open the door to desegregation so it ain't all bad...

In retrospect, it was all downhill from here. RIP, CEG.

Ironic.... Quote:
"It's not like I'm trying to change a diaper while I'm driving, she pretty much just lays there on the pillow in my lap," said Donkers. "I would certainly submit that talking on a cell phone causes far more distraction than nursing a child while she's just laying there."
Yet, she was ON a cell phone while feeding the child. Take a look at her right shoulder in the picture while she's getting out of the car!!!!
Nevermind the fact that if, god forbid, an accident happened, and the airbag deployed, it could have caused some SERIOUS injury to her child!

What a stupid woman. DAMN the "driving schedule", I guess both these parents think their errands are more important than the safety of their infant huh. Well, if they think that, and obviously they do, the kid should be taken away from them. That is complete and total BULLSH*T. Also, does she think car accidents happen ONLY when the baby is in the car seat?? HELLOOOOO. If they are going on a trip, go to fuggin WALMART, buy a $15 breast pump, pump the damn breast milk into a bottle for the kid and feed her that way. What a fuggin MORON.

I think the Michigan law blows, anyway. It's probably geared towards the wife being a passenger and being able to nurse. If it includes driving, then that's just plain ol' stupid. Why that exemption is there is beyond me. If the child is hungry, friggin pull over. I don't care how big of a rush she's in, that child's life is more important.
