The TEMP GAUGE is not accurate to begin with.
So unless you are actually plugged into the PCM and reading the ECT Sensor data stream,
you REALLY don't know what the coolant temperature is.

So basing your coolant temperature on what the Temp Gauge reads is wrong.
Replacing the Temp Gauge SENDER may bring the needle down lower,
and you would be more comfortable with the reading you are getting.

Unless the coolant is BOILING in the reservoir, you aren't overheating.
