Hey there,
Take the assembly apart. Thats what I did. But be very careful as there are parts that are wound up and can spin out leaving you screwed. Let me know and I can walk you through it. I just thought it would be easier if I did it my self and turns out it was the best idea. I think I saved money in the process. The ford dealership would have castrated me.
