OK guys what would leak onto my manifold on the passenger side towards the front of the engine i think. Its def not reaching the ground and is burning off on the cat or exhaust pipe there. Any help on tracking that down would be great. On a SHO i would guess a valve cover gasket or front main...but this aint a SHO so....

Bite your tongue...my SHO is perfect except for a rear main oil leak....oh wait...
But heck i am just waiting for the clutch to need to be replaced and i will get to it.
Anyone have a pic or how too or want to describe the oil pressure sender switch replacement to me.

Given the similar experience, I'm surprised Roz hasn't already jumped in, here ... On vacation, maybe?
One question: Are you certain it's on the manifold where your oil is being cooked?
Roz and I had a similar problem w/our Duratec's (stench of burning oil coming in thru the cabin air intake). In my case, I had an extremely small pan-gasket leak that allowed just enough oil to drip onto the exhaust to nauseate everyone in the car. In Roz's case (if I remember correctly), the prob was two-fold. The primary source of Roz's "big stink" also was a leaky pan gasket. It was replaced. Afterwards, the rear seal was also found to be a minor player, too -- so minor that Roz decided to live with it for now.

The oil sender is to the drivers side of the filter. The top is plastic. If you suspect it has failed, clean it off good and restart the engine. you should be able to see any oil coming out of it then. It just screws out. Unplug the connector first. If you don't have a socket big enough (over an inch), Autozone will let you borrow one. I prefer to use hydraulic sealant (Loctite 545) on the threads. Be careful not to get tape or dope down in the hole, or it will end up in the cam bearings or a lifter.

For several months I had a minor oil leak on the passenger side. Very little oil hit the ground, but I had a burning smell, not much in the car, but when I got out, it was there. Wasn't bad enough to really worry about as the oil level never dropped noticeably. About a month ago, I had it in for routine maintenance and they called saying the timing chain cover gasket was leaking. They replaced that and the pan gasket (damaged while replacing the other.) It was all covered under my ESP, $50 deductible. Seems to have done the trick.

Yeah, my Duratec is leaking from the same spot. It's right near the corner of the timing cover where the oilpan meets the front cover (front cover must come off too, in addition to oilpan). I get that burnt smell onto the exhaust as well. I'm planning to fix it soon, along with a whole string of other fixes I will do at the same time as the motor is out (clutch, tranny rebuild, engine bearings, timing chain guides, chain tensioner updates, and new gaskets/ resealing for the whole motor). So I'm not too worried about the smell for right now. When I get all the money gathered up for my project, I will start pulling my engine/tranny right away

I have same situation you described, but I always thought it's just from oil changes while taking the filter off.
