I am trying to research a recall that ALLDATA is showing for a 1997 V6. The recall is 96E60 Cat converter replacement? Are these the pre-cats or the MAIN cat?

Also NHTSA is NOT showing this recall anywhere? What will the dealer say when I call them and say I found this recall on my year car?

Thanks

Spankey

Caould some one run a report for me if they could? I could email my vin# to them if its possible??

Thanks gain.. Have a nice weekend...

NHSTA is for government required safety recalls only, whereas Alldata lists operational problems as well.

NHTSA information is completely independent of the car makers information. There is no direct relationship in the filing system. NHTSA information is basically ment to collect information on incidents and complaints which may eventually trigger an investigation that could lead to a recall.

ALLDATA is a collection of the car makers published information, directly from the manufacturer.
