Try loosening the single screw that holds the electric motor to the assembly (philips head seen in picture below). The motor binds when this screw is torqued tightly and it's hot outside. I removed the screw completely to dab a little loc-tite on it's threads to make sure it won't vibrate out. Mine has now worked fine for 3 years.
