Some Zetec people (including me) are having this:

upon meeting of the following conditions:
- hot & humid air outside
- A/C on (whatever setting)
- constant high speed for cca. 1hr (80-90mph)

the coolant temp starts to rise steadily (I always chickened out and switched off A/C when the needle hit the right edge of the scale before the red zone, so I can't confirm it does overheat).
strangely enough, after switching off the A/C the temperature goes back to normal in 1-2 minute.

another strange thing is that when I switch on the A/C again it'll blow in dense fog/mist/vapor so that all my passengers get scared laugh

Dunno what causes this. Doesn't happen when the air is hot but not humid.
Don't think it has anything to do with engine overload, but it never happened below 80mph.

Do you have something similar ?
