Thanks Pete, that makes sense and it sounds like it'll help but what I really want to figure out is why the car starts to overheat when I have the a/c on, and why this only started to happen after I took the car to my mechanic (dumb schmuck.) to change the water pump (metal impeller), thermostat (Motorcraft - stock - oem), dual mode dampner, and both belts...

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want to fix the source of the problem, and not just the symptoms.
