I have to agree with some of the statements here..
Macco jobs differ from shop to shop.
Things I "DO" know about macco.
1) Yanno those 1 qt cans that peachs come in? Imagen that with no label, and thats what macco's paint comes in.
2) Macco doesnt bother to prep the car AT ALL. If there is any rust on it at all, and you didnt tell them to fix it, they will just sand blast it out, and "maybe" put a little filler on just so it "looks" smooth.
3) If its visible, it will get sprayed. They tape off the windows, wheels, and lights. (not to well) Whatever is exposed after that = Painted. (Ive known a few turbo guys that have had their FMIC's painted over)
4) Macco does not spray clear coat. If you ask, they will, but the price goes up.
5) They will hire ANYONE. This means if you have never even painted someones nails, you could be painting peoples cars.
They somewhat "teach" and then put a spray gun in the workers hands.
Past friends expiriences with macco:
One took his ranger in 6 times to get the drivers door repainted. It just kept peeling off.
Another took in his talon, and some how it looks like the rear bumper is melted, molding twords the trunk area. odd.
Macco is good for 1 thing.. Cheap paint job, on a beater that you want to sell. You would be better off painting it yourself.
Of corse theres the old "I dunno what happened mr. insurance guy, I just walked into the store, and walked out 15 mins later, and the WHOLE car was keyed.."
