I think our shop could handle it, but I would hate to wreck a set of SVT cams if we failed

It would also stink to lose the money on a SE set because who would want adjustable cam SE spec cams? Maybe a done up FI set-up.
Next question, call me very stupid but I have never understood adjustable cam gears, what do they do? Besides the obvious of advancing and retarding when the valve open/closed is this just a machanical way of doing something that can be done with a chip? What are we gaining? WHen were assembling the engine couldn't you line up the cams one link off in the direction that is most advantageous? See I'm dumb educate me
