The Focus intake directs air and feeds it into the intake when the car is moving.
When the car isn't moving (like a dyno), it acts like a cold air extension, and not a very good one at that, it is not a nice smooth bend radius and its a wierd shape.
The same thing can be achieved by adding dryer ducting to the end of the filter on the CTA intake filter and routing it to the fenderwell.
It adds a little bit of cold air but not much.
The filter will always draw air from the path of least resistence.

so you're saying not ram air intake, no scoop, and no ice cream sandwich (quit making me hungry) will show on a dyno... well i just read sleeper's post and that makes sense, because the car isn't moving, but when does power really matter, when you're on a dyno or when you're racing?
